Branding
- OBICO was responsible for the developing clarity in the brand identities of Discovery Networks Norway’s TV channels, primarily TVNorge but also Fem, Max, Vox, Animal Planet, TLC and Discovery.
- OBICO developed methods of creating better fit of TV audience to advertiser demographic. This approach forms the basis for the ‘Total TV Development’ programme.
- OBICO co-ordinated a project with DNN to bring addressable advertising to TV in Norway, bringing together distributors and third-party service companies in the field to implement Scandinavia’s first addressable TV advertising system.
- OBICO created a brand and naming architecture for the Oras Group that will be common to both the Oras and Hansa brands.
- OBICO produced a Brand Book for the Oras Group, Europe’s second largest manufacturer of faucets and showers, as part of the process of unifying the Oras and Hansa brands. This provided a common brand identity and the basis for the development of communication of a converging product range under different brand names in different geographies.
- OBICO is currently involved in the creation of a brand and naming architecture for the Oras Group that will be common to both the Oras and Hansa brands.

- OBICO produced a Brand Book for KVD, a Swedish online auction system, which formed the basis for a change to a more user-based communication and product offering.
- OBICO worked with KVD to focus their business on car auctions, to grow private car sales and to expand their business into Norway.
- OBICO also worked on developing strategies for using social and online media to communicate with and motivate potential buyers and sellers to use KVD.
- OBICO produced a Brand Book to help guide Therkelsen’s corporate development both in its marketing and its corporate culture in an increasingly competitive and cost focused market.
- As a result sales increased and HR policies were developed to meet the increased business.
- OBICO produced a Brand Book to help guide Morsø’s marketing activities in Scandinavia, Germany and the UK after their range expanded from wood-burning stoves to include outdoor cookery ranges including the Forno.
- OBICO also provided help in developing communications material for the Forno.
Pharmaceutical
OBICO has worked on:
- providing a positioning for Perstorp Pharma’s Iodosorb
OBICO provided training to MRN to increase their proposal success rate by improving their proposal writing.
Marketing
OBICO has worked with IKEA for over a decade on development, evaluation and training to improve the effectiveness of the IKEA catalogue.
OBICO has worked on:
- developing and bringing to market a wetroom wall covering for Formica.
OBICO provided a workshop on marketing to High Net Worth Individuals in Scandinavia.
Communications
- OBICO assisted in the process of selecting, appointing and briefing a pan-Nordic advertising agency for Oras.
- OBICO assisted in developing Oras’ on-line communications strategy.
- OBICO assisted in the process of selecting, appointing and briefing a pan-European advertising agency for Hansa.

Data Analysis
OBICO has provided insights into the effective implementation of the IKEA concept through analysing their research and performance databases in France, Greece, Sweden and the UK.
OBICO has analysed databases of proprietary research owned by Zenith to provide new insights and ways of looking at the data. This has resulted in a reconsideration of the research programme and its data utilisation.

OBICO provided a translation service for DELSEY’s advertising and communications materials.
OBICO provided translation services to Rexam in France.
Universities and Conferences
In 2018, Vincent O’Brien spoke at Anfo’s AdTech conference on the introduction of addressable advertising on linear TV in Norway. Vincent has previously spoken on the development of the Norwegian consumer based on his extensive experience of the market. ANFO is the Norwegian advertisers’ association.
